Terms of use

Plain rules for a simple service. By creating or opening a share, or by using the tools, you agree to them.

Last updated 10 September 2026

The service

LogShare lets you publish text, code and files at a temporary link and provides browser-based developer tools. It is offered free of charge, without accounts, and without any guarantee of availability. Limits such as maximum sizes, expiry options and request rates may change at any time.

Acceptable use

You may not use LogShare to store or distribute:

  • content that is illegal where you are or where the service is hosted;
  • malware, phishing pages or material intended to compromise other systems;
  • other people's personal data, credentials or private communications without their consent;
  • material that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights;
  • harassing, threatening or hateful content.

Automated use

Reasonable scripted use, such as piping a log into a share from a terminal, is welcome. Bulk creation of shares, scraping, or anything that degrades the service for others is not. Rate limits are enforced and abusive sources may be blocked.

Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in the content you share. You give us permission to store it and transmit it to anyone who opens the link, for as long as the share exists, which is what is needed to run the service. You are responsible for what you share and for whom you send links to.

Removal

We may remove content or block access at any time if it breaks these terms, if we receive a valid legal request, or to protect the service. Content expires automatically in any case; see the privacy policy for retention details and how to request removal.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided as is. We do not promise that it will be available, error-free or suitable for any particular purpose, and we are not liable for loss of data, for content shared by others, or for any indirect or consequential loss, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Do not rely on LogShare as the only copy of anything.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator is established. We may update them; the date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
